On March 30 of the year 1970, Miles Davis released his jazz album "Bitches Brew". The music on this album is a combination of jazz, funck, rock and rhythm and blues. This mix of different styles was called "Fusion" and was compared with the art by Picasso. Miles Davis was therefor called the Picasso of music.
In my art I recognize the need to fuse different styles. In honor of Davis I called my newest series of paintings therefor "Bitches Brew". The music of this album I played non stop while working on these "Fusion" paintings.
